The prophet Isaiah penned the following words in chapter 53 and verse five: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”  We were all born with weaknesses of which the Lord definitely is aware.  This is why he allowed himself to suffer and be crucified.  But we must also be reminded that he has made provisions for us when we commit sin or displease him in any way.  John reminds us in I John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  We can be guilty of carrying an undue heavy burden of guilt on our shoulders simply because we have not put these burdens at the feet of Jesus and asked for forgiveness.  He is here to help us to GET UP when we fall.  Therefore, the encouragement is to GET UP when you have fallen.  We can rejoice because the way has been made due to the atonement on the cross.  Put your burden before the Lord and GET UP.  Don’t let the devil make you feel that you cannot.  One more reminder is found in Romans 8:1 which reads: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”  Therefore, know one can condemn you.  GET UP if you are down for any reason.
