St. Luke records an appearance of Jesus, after his resurrection in chapter 24 verses 36 to 53. When he appeared, he allowed the disciples to touch him so that they might believe what they where seeing. The scripture points out that they were still in unbelief after this. After reading this we can tend to be judges of the disciples by saying or thinking “why could they not believe, even though they actually touched him?” If we are honest with ourselves, there have been times when we did not believe the Lord for our blessing and/or deliverance. This occurred even after the Lord will have recently delivered us out of a difficult situation. Another situation will occur and we will say “Lord, what about this one?” Let us start trusting the Lord and taking him at his word. When the next test or trial occurs, look at where God brought you from and apply that faith to the current circumstance. God can and will bless.
