The prophet Isaiah penned the following words in Isaiah 40:3-5: “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the cooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. There comes a time in our lives that we must learn that God is the God of great change. Notice in this passage that valleys (which are low) shall be exalted (lifted up), crooked places made straight, and rough places made plain. God knows how to correct bad situations. These are situations that are impossible for men, who will tell you themselves that they impossible to correct. It’s time to start putting all difficult situations into the hands of God. Know one knows better how to fix things but him. He allows these events to happen in our lives so that we can learn to pray and become spiritually stronger. Remember that trouble comes to “make us” and not to “break us.” It comes to “build us up” and not to “tear us down.” The most important thing to remember is to praise the Lord when he delivers you (the glory of the Lord being revealed). You never know whom you are helping when you testify.
